  Great place to stay and close to everything. Rooms with a great view, apartments with good recreational facilities and a downstairs cafe where you can relax with a coffee (or beer). Close to all types of transport includes the ferry. Only a few minutes walk to grab a meal or a drink. A great place to stay if you are attending the Brisbane Convention Centre.

  View, location and apartment size all great. Avoidable maintenance issues - freezer malfunctioned, some lights not working, a drawer not properly installed which fell out when opened - detracted from the experience. Also soft furnishings were of poor quality - towels, pillows etc all cheap. No fitted sheet or mattress protector on the beds was surprising. I’ve never seen this before in many years of frequent travel. Just a simple flat sheet, not fully covering the mattress. Overall a good experience, which could have been better.

  I was really very happy with my stay at Arena apartments. It was the perfect location for my purpose, close to the Convention Centre for the conference I was attending, close to the cultural institutions and Southbank and there were lots of great restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The apartment was clean and well-appointed with everything you could need. A couple of minor points were that I did not have the toiletries promised apart from a very small bar of soap however I had my own toiletries so I didn't bother to ask for anything. There was a regular and annoying beep from somewhere within the apartment that went off every 15 minutes or so. It seemed to be just outside the bedroom door but I could not find out where it was coming from. The door to the cupboard containing the microwave would not stay upright when raised so that was problematic when trying to put something in the microwave. Lastly, and this was not inside the apartment but outside, the nearby rubbish chute was particularly smelly. I believe this was because the apartment was on the first floor and obviously close to the place where the rubbish ends up. It could be smelt at all times when getting out of the lifts until reaching the door of the apartment but could not be smelt once inside the apartment. Overall I rate the venue and my experience very highly and would not let those small superficial concerns stop me from staying there again or recommending the accommodation to others. I also felt that it was good value for money and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

  We booked a two bedroom apartment, it was extremely clean, fresh and modern. There was not one thing out of place and met our high expectations. Brilliant location and handy to everything, friendly service and the kitchen was well equipped should you want to cook a meal or entertain a guest or two. Would definitely stay here again! There was two of us and this was much cheaper than booking a hotel room and we had the added bonus of a balcony, full kitchen, laundry and lounge!

  Stayed a week. Great location very close to restaurants and supermarket plus south bank park and city within walking distance or short bus ride. Unit faced internally with view of pool and other apartments/offices but good value for a spacious 1 bedroom unit. Construction noise from development opposite road during the day. Contemporary furnishings etc in good condition. Ample cabinets and shelves for longer stays. Dedicated car park. Enjoyed our stay.
