  Nearly a year after we replaced carpet in our study and lounge room with hardwood engineered timber supplied from Better Timber Flooring, we remain very pleased with the product and service provided through Mr Paul Gaunt. Although we laid the flooring ourselves, Paul provided invaluable advice and assistance on options - including samples, install and maintenance, and his team did the final sand and finish. We were particularly attracted to the use of environmentally conscious recycled, reclaimed and remilled timbers and quality of engineering. Paul met our restricted timeframe for supply and regularly checked on the progress of our install over a long weekend. He maintained an infectious enthusiasm for his product throughout our discussions and we highly recommend Paul and his team at Better Timber Flooring.

  Better Timber Flooring installed spotted gum hardwood floorboards throughout our house in Watson, Canberra. Paul Gaunt, Nathaniel and their whole team were extremely professional throughout. They removed our existing tiles and put in skirting boards and new kitchen kickboards. The floors are spectacular. The whole process went smoothly and they cleaned up thoroughly as well as helping us move our heaviest furniture. When we decided to get the house painted at the same time, it pushed their timetable out and Paul and the others worked on a long weekend to ensure they were still able to meet their original timetable. Throughout the process they gave us excellent advice. Paul convinced us to spend a fair bit more than what we initially had in mind, and it was well worth it because the quality is outstanding.

  These guys did a great job to find a very neat and simple solution to our squeaking subfloor in the upper floor of our apartment. The squeaking was due to an improper mounting of ceiling to joists. They were very quick and professional.

  From the minute we met Paul from Better Timber Flooring we knew we were dealing with the experts. His enthusiasm and passion for his products were infectious. We are utterly delighted with the end results and the support that we received from Better Timber Flooring as we laid the floor ourselves. It’s the perfect finish to our renovations.
