  Really good. I think lunch could be better as a lot of things sold out by 6.30pm.

  Delicious sandwiches. The brisket was the best I had tried outside Texas. Fun, helpful staff. Would go back in a heartbeat. It was worth venturing out in 31 degree heat

  I had the brisket sandwich and meat for 1. Brisket sandwich was amazing I would definitely recommend this. We also had the chopped pork, brisket and mac n cheese. The brisket was great bit not the chopped pork it was extremely salty and oily. Mac n cheese was okay, could be better.

  Below average barbecue at WAY above average prices. Ate here on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm, my girlfriend and I were the only two people there at the time (I now understand why). $40 got us two poultry servings of barbecue and one side, we chose the brisket, the pork ribs, and the mac and cheese for the side. The pork ribs were excellent, can’t fault them, the brisket however, was dry, tough, and closer to a pub roast beef than genuine slow cooked Texas-style barbecue. The mac and cheese was good, but nothing incredible. The issue for me here is the price pointing. Bovine & Swine post some pretty incredible pictures on their Instagram account, but what they fail to tell you, is that to purchase the amount of food shown on their platters, you would need to pay in excess of $100. We left feeling hungry and disappointed. There are far better, far cheaper barbecue joints in Sydney, and frankly, I’m extremely confused as to why this restaurant has so many positive reviews. Don’t waste your money or your time.

  Ducked in for a quick feed shortly before Christmas. Pleasant chap behind the counter was happy to give us the run down on the fare and also give us a sample of the pork sausage; unfortunately they'd already sold out of the pork belly and pork rib (by 7:30pm already) but we ordered the meat tray for 2 based on their recommendations. The shredded pork was good; the chicken was surprisingly good, very tender and flavoursome; and the beef brisket was really nice. Even got some extra Christmas cheer from the staff with a complimentary serving of that jalapeno sausage and a sneaky beverage 😉 Seating isn't capacious and it isn't cheap, but B+S strikes me as offering an authentic, quality, bare bones BBQ-house experience with good service. 👍
