  Tranquil oasis of calm in the middle of the city. With the occasional call of wild birds and gentle lapping of the river tides never far away, this is an ideal escape from urban life. Catch the shade of the fig trees or wander the mangrove swamp walk. The Gardens should be part of every visitor's itinerary.

  The Brisbane Botanic Gardens were amazing to walk through. They paths are well kept, the playground kept the kids entertained and there were many benches and open spaces to relax. We walked around the entire gardens seeing beautiful views of the city and river. The lily pad covered ponds were beautiful, truly a memorable place.

  Thought this would be a great free place to go for an hour, instead four hours later we departed having taken in the access to the Goodwill Bridge , views of the river, the mangroves, the lagoon at the top, the Lily pond at the bottom, the various children's parks the bamboo path and many other things in between. We had a fantastic day even having a picnic in the park. This is a brilliant way for anyone to spend a few hours in the middle of the city in a calm oasis of an environment

  Such a beautiful spot. There's som many beautiful animals there that are lovely to observe. Although please don't touch or feed them. Birds and turtles and eels and lizards. The flower garden is always changing around depending on the season. It's really good that a lot of the plant and tree species are labelled with names too. Spending time on the chairs by the river is highly advisable.

  Nice big park/garden to take your family or even with a few friends. Big playground for the kids. We went there on Friday morning and it was pretty empty, us parents even had fun playing with the kids as the playground has lots to offer for them. The gardens are very pretty with all different kind of flora and the duck pond is pretty cool. We found a huge lizard sitting behind us! There is also an Ice-cream Truck with drinks. Restaurants near by as you walk down the street. Recommend to go in Autumn where it is not too warm not too cold because we went on a hot day and with a kid, walking around, we tired ourselves out. We only explored a portion but there is so much to see and do here!
