  DO NOT USE: I had Butler Plumbing come to quote on my leaking roof. They inspected the roof, filled some of the cracks around the chimney, with three quarters of a tube of silicon. They charged me $393.25. (The silicon was $17.50) Their quote came some time later but did not identify all my roof problems. I have since had three other roof plumbers come to quote. Two charged me nothing for their quote, the other quoted and cleaned my spout for $100.00. No happy.

  They did a very good job within a reasonable time with a reasonable price. Very nice chaps as well. Highly recommended!

  Unfortunately the experience I have with this plumbing business is not a pleasant one, and I have to say it is the worst experience I have ever had dealing with any customer service so far. I was treated worse than a criminal for something that is not my mistake, I would give 0 star if there is an option. They charge service call of $100 which was made clear upfront when I made the booking over the phone. In total, I got charged $314.72 to get leaking taps fixed ($100 of service call, $120 for one hour work, $17.50 for truck stock, $35 for flanges and spindles, $8 for tap washer kit, 10% GST, and $6.17 for credit card surcharge). The plumber arrived on-time, very friendly, and I have no problem at all with him. He was working in my bathroom for about one hour, but unfortunately he did not check if our taps were still leaking or not. They were still leaking when he was about to leave. I pointed that out to him when he wrote the invoice and he fixed it briefly. I was not asked to sign customer's signature part of the invoice (to certify the work was completed and I was happy with the work). The taps were still leaking after he left, and I had to engage service from another plumber who charged me 1/3rd of what they charged me and got the job done. The nightmare started after the job. Apparently their plumber jot down incorrect credit card number (I handed him my credit card as I did not have $300+ cash with me at that time and he wrote the numbers manually). They harassed my wife and I via phone calls and emails incessantly while I was at work. Sarah threatened me to take me to debt collector and their management team (it is not my mistake they got my credit card wrong, it is not that I do not want to pay them, I was at work when they contacted me, and they asked me to call them during my work which I couldn't do.). They demanded me to give my credit card details over the phone or email which I am not comfortable with. They even wanted to charge me credit card surcharge of $6.17 until I pointed out that I was paying via bank transfer. They do not care about customers, they only care about the money. When asked why I am charged $17.50 for truck stock, Sarah responded, "There were more than silicone’s and other lubricants as truck stock used to complete your job. If you are not willing to pay for the full invoice I will need to forward this matter on to my management team who will contact you." I was only asking and she took a defensive side. I was at work and she kept on demanding me to pay, I could not concentrate at work and went home to pay them straightaway. Again, it is not my mistake they got my credit card details incorrectly, I wanted to pay them straightaway -- their plumber wrote the numbers incorrectly from the card I gave them. Yet I was treated worse than a criminal who was trying to run away with their $300 for a service I did not get. I suggested them to invest in mobile card readers so their plumbers do not need to take credit card details manually (which may lead to human error) and to avoid this from happening in the future, and they ignored my emails after they received a screenshot of my transfer.

  Do not us this company for urgent repairs, I've been waiting for two weeks and just been given a date a week and a half from today. Almost 4 weeks in total for a simple repair.

  The company is very professional and friendly. Dave and Leo quoted and then completed the job , they kept us informed of work to be completed and then of work completed. We are having them back to for a new job and highly recommend them. Thanks Butler Plumbing.
