  I've had great service everytime I've shopped here. Staff will (figuratively) drop what they're doing to assist you. Closes relatively early, but besides that, it's a great little store.

  Typical small inner-city BWS. Has the normal brands of beer, wine, and spirits. The staff are friendly and helpful.

  Lovely, friendly staff selling a lovely product. Go the clean skin cab sav shiraz for sure.

  BWS is been my local liquor outlet, I live close by and am a regular customer. When I popped in for two bottles of wine yesterday, the staff initially refused to serve me. They didn't provide a bag for the bottles. And abused me afterwards. Not because I was rude or drunk. I was on my phone. Worse than that, I didn't realise they were refusing service. I waited patiently. Not a word was said. I understand it can be annoying to be in a shop when someone is on the phone. But when they finally initiated the transaction (to clear the queue forming behind) I was present in the transaction, provided my card promptly, inserted the card in the reader immediately when PayPass failed, and smiled and nodded at the assistant. I was in a hurry, it was an important call. And the only time I have been on my phone in that shop in many, many transactions. It was only at the end, when I asked for a bag that the sales assistant said something - 'not while you're on your phone'. So I put the phone down and said 'I waited for five minutes to be served, the least you can do is provide a bag when I ask for one'. He bagged the merchandise, but yelled after me as I was leaving the store. I couldn't hear what he said, but can assume it wasn't flattering. I returned an hour later to find out his name. His co-worker refused to tell me, and insisted on fetching him from the back of the store - though I asked her not to. My intention wasn't to initiate another confrontation. She called out to him 'Mate, it's your little friend from earlier'. Disappointing. She's served me on many occasions, we've smiled and joked and I'm sure she recognised me. When he arrived from the back of the store, he said 'What do you want?' and I asked him if he'd served me earlier. When he said he had, I noted his name, and turned to leave. His response? 'All good'. No, Clark. It wasn't good. None of it was good.
