::I was interested in selling a gold necklace - sold it elsewhere as this place tried convincing me it wasn't gold but gold plated... Would strongly advise against people going in there if you aren't experienced with whatever product you have because they will try and rip you off

::I brought 3500$ worth of camera gear (making sure i checked everything alongside the used market) and they offered me $700 after their "specialist" said he could get my $1500 camera for $900 on a reputable site. I took his word but refused to let my kit go for that offensive price. One of my lenses alone was $1300 currently on the used market I should have assumed that they didnt know much about pricing cameras since they are selling a used 7D for $900 when teds sells the kit for 500$ new in the box. When i got back to my computer, i checked his pricing and called back saying the same store he said had it for $900 actually has it for $1639 after rebates...he told me that was the price he saw and went to go back to look but "couldnt find it" and then changed his story saying that he went on google shopping page and saw it for $900 after i explained to him that if it was that cheap, it would be grey stock which is definitely frowned upon. to no surprise i typed in my camera on google shopping and i went through about 4 pages with no sight of a Sony A7ii with lens going for 900$ new... he said he has to consider grey market prices when selling genuine products cause thats how the company works...which doesnt make sense, since they should be selling genuine products that didnt "fall off the back of a truck" if you know what i mean. anyway, i explained that ive been selling cameras my whole life working for the likes of DCW, TEDS, DigiDirect, B&h, etc and I've never seen someone go through pricing out a camera in that way but i guess its just the way they roll. Its kinda disappointing to go to a place that has a specialist that doesnt know much about what he is a specialist in, but im glad i dodged that bullet. staff is nice tho i just wouldnt trust them enough to go back again.

::Complete rip-off! Wanted to charge 35% interest on a loan against an item, highest out of the lot. Many other places only charge in the area of 15-20%...

::I have both bought and sold here over the years. I have found the staff amenable. Prices here are reasonable, some good deals can be found. Also, online shop and Sunday hours are appreciated. Good as it gets as far as pawn shops go!
