  We had a function in the outdoor area. Organising was very easy, nothing was a drama. Very appreciative of the effort by the team at Elephant and Castle.

  We go to this pub pretty regularly for lunch. We used to enjoy the $12 lunch specials. There was always something on there we could have and enjoy. The last few times we have been there the specials have lacked appeal to say the least. We went yesterday with some friends and the blokes went for the beef and Guinness pie on the specials board. It came out and it was obviously a shop bought pie and the guys were totally unimpressed. What is going on? Having said that us girls had the chicken parmi which was fine but at $24.00 a tad pricey for a casual weekday lunch. What has happened to the great specials you used to have? My husband has said he won't go back having been disappointed the last few times we have been there. Shame, I love to support local people and places and would prefer not to go elsewhere.

  Good place to get a drink for local resident. The place was full of picture that doesn't come together at all. We came from Melbourne on Wednesday, $29 for a 300gr Porterhouse steak, the portion served was good, the meat was good quality. But that's all. We asked for medium well cooked, we got medium, but we were so hungry so we just ate it. And We wait for 45 minutes for the steak and that's the only meal we get. The waiter don't come back after left us the menu, we had to wave him and everyone seemed so busy and no one pay attention. We saw the same situation at the next table where the couple waited for 10 minute after the waiter left the dessert menu. You may wanna come on Tuesday and Thursday cause they got really good price on steak, but I guess they'll be busy and customer may be wait for longer than we did to get there meal.

  Very old and historic. Got great character. Would like to see more old photos about the pub's long and old history but there is none. Only new/old photos of random people on the walls.

  We were served at table by outstanding staff, who rightly and confidently could ask how we were enjoying our meal. It was amazing in its presentation when it first appeared. See the picture I captured. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak, coming with cooked vegetables, salad, and two different sauces we chose. The beer and wine were also at their Friday evening special prices. Not just a meal... a surprisingly memorable dining experience.
