  The club is so good and classes very nice but they have strict rules which make me never back to them again .. other fernwood clubs are really better in reception staff and more welcoming .. but thanks for 1 visit ..

  I've been going to this gym for about a year now and it's been a really great experience. I often find gyms quite intimidating because everyone's so driven and motivated to lose weight or become fitter but everyone at Fernwood has been really welcoming so far. The atmosphere is great, it really pushes you to work harder, towards your fitness goals! Membership is on the pricier side but you get good facilities. I would recommend personal training packages too if you are willing to fork the extra cash, Joan in particular has been really great!

  Was given a pass to try a week free. Came half an hour early the first night before a yoga class to try and was turned away as staff finished in 30 mins time and wouldn't possibly be able to sign me up. Made an appointment for next night to do Pilates, came to appointment on time while filling out forms told I wasn't allowed to do class until I got medical clearance for being pregnant, which wasn't mentioned the night before. So I was turned away two nights in a row after driving there specially to try keep fit during my pregnancy in what is supposed to be a nurturing female environment. It's hard enough motivating yourself to go to gym, let alone being gigantic and both very hot days and then to be turned away again. So stupid.

  Its a lovely gym with a community feeling and great support! A lovely place if you are in need of motivation and want to achive your fitness/health goals. I have met amazing ladies and instructors who inspired me and supported me to find my love for movement :) Thank you guys!

  Have been going to this gym for over 10 years and still loving it. The new functional fit is fantastic and they have the best staff who really care. The gym is always spotless and there is always a smiling face at reception when I arrive. Also love the new extended hours as I can now train on Sunday nights. Highly recommended it to any ladies looking for a great local gym !
