Nice guy. Good haircut, but counter was all dirty, no sanitization visible and he didn't change the razor blade before doing my neck. I watched to see if he did after the cut, nope... Sorry, can't come back.

Great haircut, walked in off the street and treated like an old friend, had a good talk and laugh.

It was my mate's wedding last Saturday and we booked ahead for 4 shavings and 1 shaving (beard+head) four hours before the wedding. The first shave turns out just fine (with 2-3 cuts on the face) and so as the second one (the groom). However the third one (beard and head) turns out badly. My mate (let's call him mate 'A') went straight to the chemist around the corner to buy a set of shaver to the groom's home to shave again, it ends up more hair to filled up the sink in the bathroom! Is it supposed to be cleaned and no more hair to shave as soon as coming out from the barber? Not to mention all the cuts on his face and head. Then I was the fourth one. I felt constantly being cut when he was shaving me and I start smelling blood. It hurt like hell when he tried to put some alcohol to kill some germs and nervous on my face. He totally destroyed my left face and cuts on my right face and still heaps of beard left over! Furthermore, I was told during the shaving, he cleaned the blade with a second hand dirty towel. Which is disgusting and I would stop him straight away if I saw it. After seeing 4 failed attempts from the professional shaver the last groomsmen decided to go to groom's house and shave it by himself (wise move). As I mentioned, the wedding was supposed to be on in few hours time and we had to be on camera. What we can show to people on the pictures were heaps of cuts on the face and blood stain on the collar (I have photos to prove my side of the story). My mate 'A' and me had to pay full $70 together with the poor service and for that 2 hours of (slow) work he earned $120 which was paying him a fairly good hourly rate with $60/hour with horrible result. He is one of the well known barber in Newcastle and I have been shown with some well known customers of him on newspaper/pictures while I was waiting. He charged us with a professional rate and gave us a result that we had to go home and redo the job, which is not acceptable. The groom was totally dropped his jaw as soon as he saw my face (he had to leave barber early to prepare the wedding) so as the other guests during the wedding. What I am trying to suggest to people is please think twice before your visit to there next time. I am pretty sure you can do better to yourself without paying anyone else on shaving. Good luck!
