  This is my favorite HN to shop at. It has good access to the freeway for avoiding traffic, there is a coffee shop our the front to deliberate big purchases and they have free underground parking EVEN though you still have to get a ticket at the boom gate.

  Typical Harvey Norman. I went in looking for a 1 m aerial cable to connect the tv in our new apartment. First cable the guy directed me to was a $49 Monster cable. Being well aware of the Harvey Norman cable selling practices I asked if they had any non Monster cable. The gentleman developed a bit of an attitude and brought me over to another stand with Harvey Norman branded cables and other Monster cable. Conveniently they were all sold out of 1m cables and who needs a 4m cable rolled up behind their TV, which funnily enough was the same price as the lower spec $25 1m grade Monster cable hanging near it? But then you need to buy the screw adaptor for another $5 or so. I'll do without TV tonight and go to JB hi-fi tomorrow thanks...

  Unfortunately after having great sales experience, the after care is really bad. The TV we bought (expensive) stopped working in less than a month and the store have refused to exchange it until the manufacturer has assessed it and confirmed it is faulty. I do not believe that this is in line with consumer law or good faith. I believe that the store should exchange it anyway and that they should be having the discussions with the manufacturer, which I believe is what consumer law supports too. we are 'going along with' Harvey Norman, City West procedure which has meant taking time off work and no TV for 4 days so far. A very unhappy customer.

  One of the better run Harvey Norman franchise. (Computer/Tech department) *Haven't had any experience with the furniture and appliance section here so this rating is specifically for the computer/technology department.
