  Employees more interested in sharing stories about their weekend than assisting us when were clearly there to buy. After riffling around every box on the shelf, making eye contact twice and standing right next to the employees listening in to their conversation, we still had to interrupt them to even get a greeting, let alone query a stocked item. Got what we wanted, paid and left with the minimum of human contact.

  Ordered a PS4 Pro and a new laptop and got the laptop that day was told the PS4 would be in store in about a week or so and if not it could be ordered in. Almost 2 weeks later I am informed I will have to wait an additional 2 months to actually receive the product. The sales agent said to me he makes no money on gaming products so would rather upsell me on product care for the laptop however had I known of the actual delay for the PS4 I would not have purchased anything that day. All staff say is we will try and order it in from another store but dont get your hopes up and then dont call me back. Will not shop at Harvey Norman again and will actively advise others not to also. Update: I have since been contacted after raising a complaint on the website and I will now be getting a PS4 delivered next week from rural NSW. I am happy with the outcome however wish there was more transparency in the process. Outside of this my experience was actually not a horrible one in store just the process of getting my product delivered.

  Usually Harvey Normans is my go to , but this store is by far the worst i have ever experienced. The customer service i receieved was sub par. I called earlier to ensure that the product i wanted to test was on the floor and charged -i was assured it was. I drove 30mins to the store with babies and and on arrival was told - no actually NONE of the machines except for the dysons were charged. The sales lady said " yes well that happens". I explained that i drove in with kids after assurances that i could test before i buy and i got no apology. I asked to speak to manager who just ignored me. Did not come speak to me at all. I left very angry with crying kids.

  Always such a long wait to get the attention of staff even though I knew what I wanted before I walked through the door, some even stand around even after making eye contact. Price was good but insisted about 4 times for me to get a warranty and wouldn't take no for an answer which really annoys me and puts me off buying any items from retailers and makes me want to buy online instead. I wouldn't recommend Harvey Norman to anyone and would instead recommend the good guys or JB HiFi who seem to have much friendlier staff.

  The best Harvey Norman store in Brisbane. Wide variety of household goods at decent prices. Most products are fitted with a long warranty, making shopping here risk free. Staff are friendly and willing to bend over backwards for you. Very helpful and usually know what they are talking about. Located in Fortitude Valley opposite the new Tesla Centre, this Harvey Norman is quite easy to get to. Heaps of parking with first 3 hours free. Better to come on a weekday in the evening, as you will get served quicker. Stress free household shopping done right.
