Attended a 3 day conference at the Hotel. Staff and facilities were absolutely brilliant however did not stay at the venue due to the price being a tad exorberent. Places a few hundred metres away were 700 dollars cheaper.

Great view of the marina, decent sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Everything works and top quality. Buffet brekky was fresh and a bit different to the usual (in a good way!).

We were there for Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra performance, with time to spare for a drink before going in. Stunning place, not enough seating, but the barmen could not make a Mojito. It took 25mins and when it finally arrived it was still wrong. My 70+ mother was disappointed that she had to rush and leave her drink, as we had to leave our drinks for the show. Disabled ♿ access is fine getting into hotel lobby but I could not see a route that wasn't stairs to access the bar. With any seating for ♿ up behind the bar! 5/10 ♿ rating.

This is a great hotel , with great service in a great location in a great town. But a poor night’s sleep cost them a star. Don’t book room 1015 or anything close by. Hotel lobby music blared all night through our room door on a “set timing” as i was informed at 5am by the night concierge. I will definitely return to this hotel, but will insist on a room on the other side of the building. Can I suggest to management to at least play a couple of lullabies?

Attended a large corporate function at the Hotel Grand Chancellor the other day. Gone are the days when this venue was outdated and tacky. A vast renovation has taken place aimed at bringing this venue up to date. The function rooms are looking tidy and have all received new paintwork which compliments the decade we're in rather than a bygone era as many of their past renovations once reflected. The Atrium bar is looking amazing with its own renovation and the service is now top notch. The accommodation rooms have also received a much needed upgrade to right the wrongs of the past management's so called upgrades. This establishment is definitely back on track and looking amazing!
