    Pathetic experience. Pathetic customer service and very rude manager. Have never seen such a bad customer service from any motel across Australia. The motor inn manager Howard is a unreasonable and rude person. Not willing to listen or negotiate. We had a booking at lake Macquarie Motor Inn for 4 families. Since we were planning to travel on a working day, would mean we will be reaching late. When we called the reception they took our credit card details and mentioned that they will keep the keys in the mailbox but later the manager called and was asking for more money. As per manager Howard, the check-in time is 8 PM whereas the booking email clearly says that any check in after 9 PM please call reception and make necessary arrangements. Howard called me and my friends and said that any check-in after 8 PM would be charged $20 per 30 mins. When we asked why this was not in the original booking or while making the booking, he had no answer just that this is the hotel policy. When we asked for hotel policy statement, he made all excuses not to share it. We were open to any negotiation, we made the payment upfront but he was not willing to make the keys available after hours. As per Howard, he does this only for his known customer or regular customer. His attitude and language was very rude. All I would say is that avoid this hotel at any cost. Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!.....

    Got in late last night. Room is very clean and well appointed. The bed was soooooo comfortable i now want one at home.

    Doesn't actually have Wi-Fi in most rooms and DVD players don't work in any rooms. Upside was comfy beds and a tv that worked at least.

    A really clean place in Swansea for those who want a place to stay whilst travelling on the northern coast of New South Wales. Rooms were very clean and affordable, housing a family of 3 for $180 per night. A few minutes drive from the shops and the beach. Staff were nice. Prices as advertised on the internet were sometimes incorrect and pool was lackluster.

    Terrible terrible service ever, be careful!!! Not ever thought could see this kind of motel in Australia, the staff and owner are very rude and not trustworthy. They charged me $300 and not refunding me even though I've cancelled the booking within half hour. We have to cancel my booking within half an hour because the GPS showed wrong location so we need to stay at different place. They charged me $300 on credit card straight away and the manager Howard told me the owner's traveling and will be back after one month and keep saying don't worry I will get refund, he can't do refund as he doesn't have access to do it. I've asked for confirmation by email or text but got refused. After one month when I call on the agreed date on Mon to check my refund, Howard told me he already informed their finance team to refund to me and assured me just to wait 2 business days. I waited till Thur still don't see my refund so called to check, he got angry and rude by yelling at me we've already refunded you, why you keep calling, call your bank!!! I was so shocked by his attitude, I asked for the contact no of their finance team and he said we don't have finance team, and they hang up on me. After 5 min, I called again, and Howard told me the owner said they won't refund me, because their company policy is cancellation needs to be made 48hr in advance. I've actually cancelled within 0.5hr right after the booking cz we found out the location is not right on GPS. This is the worst motel ever, it's like you reasoning with gangsters, their response to customers keep changing and there's no logic at all! They are so desperate for money that they don't care about customers. I have no choice now but to seek help from Fair Trading and will see how it goes. It is very frustrating, disappointing and shocking experience ever, and unbelievable....
