  I ate here often while I was living in Cairns. The food is consistently good and the sashimi is high quality and fresh. In my opinion, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Cairns. I will always stop in for a feed when visiting. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a relaxed ambience. I've ordered many different foods on the menu and I've never been disappointed.

  I don't want to give even a star. The service is the worst ever I had. I'm sad and embarrassed as a same japanese if they think that is Japanese service. Waitress don't come, don't take care of customers, when they serve food, just put a plate on table with only "Thank you". Thank you, for what? Ridiculous. Food was also not good, not enough heat. Just save your money, I don't recommend to use here. I'll never come back again.

  Let's be clear, it is the worst service experience I suffered (quickly) from Japanese restaurant, and I tested them on 4 continents. We arrive and set outside. Waitress not coming. Went inside, had to wait here that the waitress agreed to take order, simply sushi rolls, sapporo and juice. Then.. Asked to pay. I said no way, not before I eat dishes. She said this is not possible, so many tourists leave without paying. That the point.. So many tourists and probably food quality equal service one. We just left direct to find another sweet Japanese restaurant Tokyo Dumpling, lovely service and surprisingly delicious dumpling. ;)

  For a Japanese restaurant the service was beyond ridiculous. The staff were absolutely hopeless/ rude. Having worked in hospitality for 30 years and priding myself for never walking out of a restaurant no matter how awful I felt compelled to break that tradition today. I do not recommend this establishment.
