  I’ve known Shirley for a little while now. And she knows my family. She is a very lovely women. Always smiling and happy. No matter what, she makes your day, and makes you feel welcomed. Her shop is one of the best places to go to in Perth. Definitely recommend to go there

  Shirley is excellent to work with. She is patient and takes the time to explain everything you need to know about her opals. She also does all the paperwork in her to avoid having to charge tourists GST.

  I've ran small businesses for over a decade now and have been witness to the full spectrum of customer service and business owners from exceptional to outright horrible. Shirley is a wealth of knowledge, but more than that, she is such a wonderfully genuine and friendly person. I walked in unsure of what I wanted or what I should pay and left wanting to go back just to hear more about her life and to own another of her Opals Thankyou Shirley, you are one of a kind!

  I was visiting Perth for the very first time this weekend. Whilst exploring the city, I made my way up the stairs to Quilpie Opals where I was greeted by the extremely friendly Shirley and her nephew. I was given an amazing insight in to Australian opals without feeling at all pressured to buy anything. The stones are incredible, immaculate! The customer service is the best I've ever experienced; honest, sincere and friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable for such rare and beautiful rocks! I couldn't recommend this store enough!
