Took Miss Ruby for her first visit to the museum and she had a fantastic time. So much to explore see and do, even for a 3 year old, with interactive displays and kid friendly zones where they can explore and investigate.

It's the place to visit when it rains or when it hits 40 degree in Adelaide. They have plenty of animals and sea creatures; they also have real tortoise and lizards and beehives. Museum sells nice foods, I recommend their flat bread with lamb! It was so yummy and wasn't expensive. Their coffee is good enough and deserts are great. They also sell ice cream. At the moment dinosaur exhibition was very enjoyable although it could have been larger. Our son (5) really enjoyed dinosaur exhibition (finishing in May 2018 I think?)

The current exhibition Dinosaurs Revolution is another excellent exhibit. The museum continues to impress everyone. Do yourself a favor and join up and be a VIP member and enjoy a year long of exhibits.

Excellent staff. Didn't have to carry around baggage as it is taken care of in locker room with token. Every hall has a wall hanging basket where info on each and every display item is provided. Dynasor display was good but $15 ticket was a bit steep. It is still worth if you have kids. Animals from each continent displayed was good to compare in size. Fantastic collection of Aboriginal material. Comparison of all state boomerang was fantastic. Must see. Time allocated depends on interest and prior knowledge. Canteen and other facilities are good. Wheelchair friendly. Not sure about parking.

A family favourite, this is a great place to take the kids to gain some knowledge of the world's past. Some personal highlights are the Egyptian room featuring a replica of the Rosetta stone, the key to deciphering hieroglyphics. Also on show is a spacesuit worn by Andy Thomas when he ventured into space to the International Space Station. The ground floor featuring stuffed animals from the different parts of the world is always an area to see, especially the lion in the case whose eyes seem to follow you wherever you go. And does the lion's tail occasionally twitch? Hmmmm.
