Clean, staff are nice, but platforms 1-8 are inconvenient to access. Two flights of stairs or escalators. Heading away from platform 8 toward Spencer st on the concourse on the same name, which is why I recommend using the Bourke st concourse, which is dmaller.. Love this place though. Here a lot as I travel by coach/train to/from mildura.

It reminds me of airport all the time. It's a huge station and I guess this is the most differently built station. It's crowded all the time and surrounded by lot of shopping outlets. DFO south wharf is nearby and a great shopping hub.

Southern Cross is a good station with easy access from CBD and Docklands including the over pass that connects Bourke Street city through to Bourke St Docklands. You can find the suburban and V/Line country trains easily. The destination boards are easy to find and read. There are a selection of fast food places and a newsagent inside the station.

Gets busy like all major train stations but not horribly crowded. Sometimes it’s dirtier than usual but they usually get that cleaned up sooner rather than later. Easy to navigate and not confusing. Good location.

This station is the hub of all train services in Melbourne. It's big, modern and has all you need for interstate and suburban travel. There are plenty of services, with one of them being the Sydney XPT service. The staff are okay, mixed results. Some staff are awesome while others are not the best. Oh, you can also connect with Melbourne's gigantic tram system as well as plenty of bus services. However, Metro isn't exactly reliable and isn't the best. This station is great but the operators of the actual trains are...eh.
