I cannot complain so much about the school but as an Ex-Student and the student body of 2018 are very welcoming, i think the options for subjects are very limited due to the student size mainly. So subjects for Year 11 and 12 can be very very limited, If you are a student that's looking forward to learn about Psychology or be a scientist then this place is fine for your student. But if you plan to do Applied Information Technology or anything hands this school is not for you. Its a little cramp at times and can be loud when you are trying to study from the Year 7's but other then that i can recommend it to a certain amount of students. I encourage parents to look at the possible subjects you child may be going in to and ask your child how many students are in their class cause this can factor in when your child is choosing subjects. Other then that its not a bad school i do miss the open air environment as a former Murdoch College Student and there are some controversial rules and policy's in my opinion don't really agree but i understand if for the best interest. Thanks for everything and i hope the class of 2018 stays awesome keep it up and you guys will make it in the end of term 3.

This school is the absolute best school I've been at. And I've been to three. The teachers really listen to you, and the assignments, though difficult, are completely worth it and I'm so glad I'm here.

St George’s is a fantastic school with a great community spirit. Teachers are highly engaged and involved in the whole-of-school activities, which adds to the sense community. They go above and beyond in supporting students with their studies and aspirations, creating an environment where they are free to explore and are regularly challenged. Homework is consistent and varied, using a combination of traditional homework, like I remember doing, and a more modern approach on challenging my child’s learning beyond the classroom, eg interviewing your parents on the biggest changes they have seen in their lifetime. My daughter is in yr 7 and has been at the school 9 months, she regularly reports back to us that she is learning and being challenged to extend herself, part through self motivation, part through peer competition but mainly through the supportive and collaborative teaching environment which she is loving being part of. If your’e after old school schooling, in a controlled, confined and stuck in the past environment, then probably not the school for you to send your child to. If you are after a modern, supportive, community focused and progressive school that caters to a range of talents and interests then St Georges could be a good fit.

Fantastic school! Excellent staff and fantastic communication. Parent teacher interviews and reports are available every term. SEQTA ensures that you are fully aware of your child's assessments and test scores. We can't thank the staff of St George's enough for a wonderful start to High School life !

Serious lack of communication from the staff with Parents. Teachers show no interest in supporting the students with their studies and aspirations. Homework is scarce, and when it is given it is generally not very challenging, eg. Watch a Disney movie! My daughter is in yr 7 and has been at the school 6 months, she regularly tells the teachers she is bored with the work and not learning anything, but they refuse to support her with more challenging work. She has been shouted at and humiliated for being off sick. The new head teacher has just introduced a new mobile phone policy allowing the pupils to have them in class! According to my daughter everyone plays on their phones in class, i brought this up with the head teacher and she said she thought the new policy was working well regardless. We have now decided to remove our daughter from the school and she leaves this week. Neither of us can wait to see the back of this place.
