::Very central, but because of that traffic noise. Very small rooms, kitchen too small for everyone. A lot of things were stolen like food, eletronic devices and even underwear. This hostel is way to expensive for the things that i can offer. I cant understand why there is so many good feedback about this hostel. It is ok for a few days but not for a long stay.

::Nice place. There are a lot of stairs so if you have accessibility concerns that is something to keep in mind. My room smelt a bit since there wasn't a lot of ventalation. It had a really friendly vibe though and I would recommend it to my friends.

::Cool place and awesome staff but there is not a real common space and there are not any kind of locker . The place is sufficiently clean

::A lovely homly hostel! Everyone staying and working at The Downing Hostel contributes to a lively and friendly atmosphere. The kitchen is adequate and the rooms super clean. I love the location as it is so central and is extremely close to all the major rail and bus routes. If you want a super funky time in Sydney stay here!

::I came from Belgium and stayed here for a couple of nights. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hostel doesn't have common areas apart from the bar downstairs but that didn't bother me as I spent most of the days out. I thought the price was very cheap for Sydney specially because they are located right in the middle of the city with free wifi.
