  Under staffed and slow service, first meals we had there months ago were lovely.Tonight we had the Garfish which was actually frozen not fresh and tasted like cardboard . The Scotch Fillet was so tough and grissley it was unable to be chewed We informed the staff and the response was that the butchers sometimes supply poor quality meat nothing they can do about that - I did mention that paying $39 for a steak that was u able to be eaten was not good and $35 for frozen fish of poor quality that we also did not eat ... They would not refund or discount but took a coke of the account... Very disappointing food, atmosphere and hospitality , it is never the issue with anything in business but moreso the owners taking responsibility for the poor quality and providing a better service or solution... We were looking forward to making this hotel our new favourite dining place being local and on arrival had decided to book the family dinner this weekend for 12 there - We will not return to this hotel based on the lack of care for the quality of the food . My husband had the crab pasta and a mouthful only of the frozen fish and has been u well and in bathroom with diahorea immediately following the meal and Continuing.. Both staff were pleasant and lovely not their fault management was not interested in the poor food quality and outcomes.

  Lovely little pub. Tucked away in some backstreets. Quiet and relaxing, and also has some good beers.

  Such a disappointment. Holly served us & seemed annoyed we had arrived with 3 kids. When she noticed I was frustrated with her short & rude responses to my questions her service slightly improved. The children’s meals arrived first which was a nice gesture but my son couldn’t eat his cheeseburger which was rock hard! After 50mins of waiting for our mains the 2 steaks & salmon arrived. We were told medium steak takes that long to cook! It would’ve been nice to know that when we ordered. We were charged $42 per steak & had to leave it in the plate because it was so chewy! I actually had to physically remove the meat from my mouth as it couldn’t be swallowed! The salmon was over cooked. I was so angry I could barely speak when we left! Still waiting for the kids ice cream with the kids meal! Never will return! If children aren’t welcome don’t have a children’s menu!

  Great feed and lovely atmosphere. Staff are attentive and polite and make sure you really are enjoying your meal. One of my favourite pubs in Adelaide and we will be visiting again soon.

  Have lived in Adelaide nearly 60 years, where have I been?!! Great hotel for front/saloon bar mix, of people, beer, wine and more. Also, I drool when I peer into the wine cellar. Magnificent. Great atmosphere and most enjoyable. Salute to the management. Ted
