  Staff were fantastic and took care of us during our meal. The "Deconstructed Garlic bread" as we liked to call it was delicious. Really nice atmosphere. Will be back again

  Had lunch here and the Scotch fillet was absolutely delicious. Served with a carrot puree and mashed potatoes with seeded mustard. The chicken breastfeeding with mushroom risotto also was fantastic .The place is very cosy and elegant . My new favourite place to eat. Thanks heaps.

  Food is fantastic in general, steaks are perfectly cooked, schnitzels are good size, and the super salad is awesome. Burgers are only worth it, if you get the burger-n-cider special. The pumpkin gnocchi special today was a bit disappointing, as was expecting a bigger serving for the price paid.

  I am not one to leave negative review however both the service and food here has been abysmal. I would have forgiven the 40 min wait but to have received 3 burnt sausages, partnered with a grainy mash at a cost of $25 is just appalling.

  Service was great (especially from a guy called Henry). Steak was good in terms of presentation but upon digging in, discovered what was supposed to be medium rare, turned out well done. We did try to go with it but it was just too cooked and dry, so we had them replaced. Was told that this was the way they do medium rare there. Guys... medium rare is not a doneness set according to how "you do it there". It's an international standard set for all culinary chefs. They said they will do the next batch "rare" so that it better suits our tastes. Second round of steaks came in the same well done state, some even more cooked than previous! Look we are not trying to be difficult here. We have been to The Maid for pub deals 3 times last year and it's always been great. Steaks were done between medium to medium rare usually and juicy on the inside. Somethings gone way wrong in the last few months. So here is a genuine feedback for the management. Go figure what changed and fix it. Your reputation and quality is definitely at stake.
