  Excellent service from Brenton at the Adelaide store. He went above and beyond with his customer service. I highly recommend this company A+ Car was exceptional.

  Brilliant customer service on our visit on Saturday 9:30am 25 March. Efficient and helpful with a suggestion to visit Beerenberg for strawberry picking. Booking online was super simple too.

  Me and my wife made a booking from the internet for a hatchback car because we needed to have that extra door on the back. The day of arrival at the Thrifty office in Adelaide we figured out that we got a sedan instead. When I asked from the employee (Tom), to explain the reason why, he said that "Thrifty doesn't have any hatchbacks anymore and that the car pictures are misleading on the website. They should have been removed. I'm giving you an upgrade instead". When we said that we didn't want the upgrade but the car we'd booked, he said "I'm sorry I can't do anything. You get an upgrade instead!". And he kept ignoring us continuing his paperwork. It felt to us like "get your upgrade and be happy with that". I asked him that I wanted to talk to his manager instead, but Tom replied that he didn't have a manager. He literally said "she has quit!". I then asked him for his full name and he turned angrily that he didn't have to give it to me. After some seconds of astonishment he made a phone call and he just handed me the phone, I didn't even know to whom he wanted me to talk to. Finally it was a very kind person from their office at the airport, I think her name was Heidi, and she listened to our concern and feedback giving us reasonable alternatives. I talked to Tom after and explained what I agreed on with Heidi. I even tried to reconciliate in the end and calm him down by shaking hands but he had already taken it deeply personally. He told me that I had to talk nicer to him... (?) Unfortunately Tom instead of cooperating and helping us out, created unnecessary tension ruining our morning. Simply put, wrong person at the right place. It's a pity to have our first experience with Thrifty starting like that. Otherwise everything was excellent with the car and the people in Melbourne where we dropped it off.
