::After having to cancel a much anticipated ski trip to north America due to severe acute illness trying to claim the costs of the trip has become an ongoing frustration for me with TID. I started my claim at the end of January, thought that was all easy enough. Two weeks later Im asked for some supporting medical documentation, for example they wanted the ER discharge summary as I was so unwell I ended up in the ER. No problem, but two weeks was a bit of a stretch. I submit these documents, weeks later I find out by chance they 'never received them' as their email wasnt working. Further delaying my claim being accepted. After further delays I am asked to supply 2 years worth of clinical GP notes for an acute illness, after the fact I have already submitted multiple doctors letters confirming I was severely unwell. When I shared this with my GP they were shocked and couldn't believe it. It has now been 3 months since I started my claim and have now been asked for more documentation which was already provided months ago. I thought claiming would be relatively simple process, especially considering how easy it was to purchase a policy; but it has come to the point where I dread any emails or calls from TID. It's worth noting that I am claiming under $1,000; so not a massive sum. I will not be using TID again and will encourage my friends to look elsewhere.

::Easy insurance to organise. Plain English T&C. Cost very reasonable, support first class. Will continue to have my travel insurance with TID

::Generally have had great experiences with TID. Very competitive prices and straight forward to use and set up. Seem to be upfront and open by what they cover and don't cover. Haven't had to make a claim but based on other people's reviews they look like they don't make too much hassle. Will update if ever do use it in future.

::Four weeks of travelling around beautiful Hawai'i. Pretty active life and good to know if I turned an ankle or had any other mishap, I have a safety net. Not required thank God. Travelling again in November 2018 so will definitely use you.

::By far the most simple way to get travel insurance. They are very reasonable in price and coverage. They also cover cruises which is difficult to find. You should definitely always use TID!!
