::Shameful service. Recently switched over to Allianz due to a recommendation from a friend, I am extremely disappointed with how they have managed my recent contents claim on my iphone and no matter how much I explain they still take no responsibility for their actions and instead blame the other party the replacement phone was ordered through. What should have taken a week maximum has been ongoing for almost 7 weeks now, they don't call you back, they don't return emails unless the subject line is "complaint" and don't get me started on their wait times when calling. I was promised a certain model iphone replacement 7 weeks ago due to my current one no longer being in stock, this was great news and I was very happy with their service at this time. I then spent the next weeks constantly following up on what was going on, had been told the phone had been dispatched however was never given a tracking number, 3 weeks later the phone arrived (mind you it was only dispatched the day before it arrived!) only to find it was not the phone I was promised and instead was one I could have just collected from a store instead of going through all these issues. When I complained I was advised by JbHifi (the company Allianz uses to order insurance claim stock through) that they would be happy to give me the model up instead as compensation, I thought this was reasonable after waiting so long. Allianz then informed me to take the phone I received back to a JbHifi store and Allianz would then arrange for a credit to be given, so I did just that. I received the credit and was shocked to find out that it was LESS than what the phone I had just handed back was worth and the phone that I had been promised from the start is no longer being stocked at JbHifi. So now 7 weeks later I still do not have a working mobile phone which I NEED for work, I have taken countless hours off work to deal with this and I am now expected to fork out extra cash to get a new phone, after explaining all of this Allianz was not willing to admit fault.

::I went over to Allianz when buying a brand new car as they gave 3yrs new for old replacement. THAT WAS THE ONLY GOOD COMMENT I COULD MAKE. I decided to take my Home and Content too, for convenience. Also my two sons car insurance....seeing insurance companies like to rip off the younger generation...so I wanted to give my boys a hand... So..... I reverse in to one sons car...stupid thing I know ...!! I try to claim.... Only to be told I have to pay for both no claim amounts. So what am I paying 3 separate car insurance policies for ???? Just a robbing bunch of bastards... Stay away from Allianz....

::Anthony Christian of Allianz was so helpful in explaining i had mistaken signed up two policies in my property and he helped me to cancel one of them and rebate more than $900. He also explained very well how my policy covers any impact damages eg falling tree. Good customer services.

::Beware Allianz particularly when its renewal time for your insurance policy. They do sneaky stuff like up your excess when you didn't request it. When I queried them on this, they said, we do it to help you reduce your premium. I never asked them to reduce my premium, if I wanted to reduce my premium, I would have requested they increase my excess! they wouldn't reinstate it even though I lodged a complaint with FOS. Then I also found out they removed my protected no claim bonus without asking on my policy renewal document. I had to call them up to get it reinstated. Again, check your documentation carefully!
