::The man in the shop there today was kind in that he swapped 7 HEALTHY gold barbs (which I had bought from them 3 months ago) for a sick dwarf gourami and a couple of neon tetras. The thing is that the neon dwarf gourami is a very sick tail-fin nipped powder blue. I'm strongly worried it's about to die like the last dwarf gourami I bought from them 3 months ago. It died 2 days later. I'm slightly alarmed that they say it's fine to keep 2 male dwarf gourami's together, which is completely untrue as the males will attack each other unless you have a massive tank and 5 other females. They are quite aggressive little fish. I explained I already had a 8cm 3-spot gourami so I couldn't have 2 males. He then said that he has had no problems keeping males together in a 2 foot tank, etc. I don't think he realises that he is giving out wrong information. As his stock turnover is high, he will not have seen the bullying that goes on with these aggressive fish where there are 2 males together. As an aquarium owner, he should know that once they reach maturity, they get aggressive...The fact that this fish is sickly like the other one is alarming, and to see his tail and fins damaged is a concern. You can't see from the blurry photo, but his eyes are starting to bulge, they look like pop-eye, they're becoming swollen and starting to hang out of his little head to. Disgusting outcome. I had swapped my gold barbs as they were nipping at the fins of my other fish and lost my swordtail (female) 2 platties. To try to give me 2 male DG's after my bullying problem was ridiculous, but to give me a sick tail ripped fish with black rimmed, bulging eyes is just plain RUDE. I dont' know whether to flush it now in case it gives my other fish a disease or let it die naturally and fish it out...

::This guy certainly knows his stuff and has a great collection of simple and exotic aqua life. This place used to be in Surry Hills on Bourke St. Now it's on Oxford st in Paddington. Nothing's changed its just got better...

::The boss is very nice, professional and helpful. The shop isn’t big but there have a lot things. And the price is fair, I know I won’t get things from there is expensive compared with other shops.

::Nice little shop. Friendly management. Great variety of fish. It is still in its early stages because new Manager has bought it. Would like to see more aquarium plants & their cultivation on site in display tank! Nice rapport with customers. Best wishes for a good beginning at the new location in Paddington. Best JN.
