It's a sports oval. You can watch cricket, Aussie Rules or Adele depending on which season it is (I suspect the Adele season may have been a one off though). Parking is a nightmare. It's in the middle of 4 major roads so that's also not great. The ground itself is okay though. Decent facilitates without being great.

Attended for the Ashes. The entry and exit from the ground was the most memorable of any cricket ground I have attended in the many years of following the Ashes, but unfortunately not for the right reasons. For the most part the ushers were great but twice in 4 days of cricket we got false information which lead to inconvenience and loss of viewing time. The seats however were great and so was the atmosphere. I would bring your own food as much as possible, and get your ice-creams early after lunch because they regularly sold out of Drumsticks.

Went for a Brisbane Heat BBL game. About 36,000 people or these abouts. The sounds inside the stadium was amazing as it echoes inside. Lots of refreshments to be had and lots of toilet facilities also. You also got free public transport included in your ticket that covered everything except using the Citycat (ferry) on the Brisbane River

Fantastic venue. Gate staff, security, medics, all so friendly and helpful. Amenities clean and convenient. Food and drink options plentiful if a little on the pricey end. Transport to and from the venue included in tickets, and again staff and security very helpful.

A great venue to watch any sport they busy here. Whether it be test 🏏 cricket in November, BBL Big Bash League and international one day cricket throughout the summer, or watching the once mighty Brisbane Lions play Australian Rules Football in the winter months. The Gabba is a great venue for music events as well. Just remember if you are taking a bag into the venue, there are restrictions.
