  great central station. You can get trains from here all the way to Brisbane. Not many services but still a good offering for Cairns

  You can apparently get the Kuranda Scenic Railway here rather than taking the bus to the other station--who knew?! It's a nice little station, not too crowded, with the mall parking lot (although you only get a few hours of free mall parking, so driving to the other station out of town might be a better idea).

  Efficient system, there is a station inside Cairns central shopping centre.
