::The booze is fine and the wine is cheap, and the theme is deeply imperial (which is fine - I feel like you know what you're getting into when you go to a venue named Captain Cook Hotel). We rocked up for Mardi Gras to catch the tail-end of the parade. The Chicken Parmi looks brilliant - cheesy which is what you want. My friend foolishly ordered a chicken schnitty because he was drunk and misinterpreted my demands, so I had this dry piece of chicken. Do not recommend this. The burgers also look good. All up, an acceptable pub, but probably only for Mardi Gras or if you live really close - there are better places nearby.

::It's not much to look at but head to the back for a great meal. Had lamb ribs which were excellent but the absolute star are the wings. Will blow your mind. Definitely not for the faint hearted!!! Reasonably priced and incredibly delicious. Chefs were great blokes too. Also has a decent back court yard to enjoy. Beer selection is very good and changes.

::Awesome live music pub. Cool décor and pretty grungy as well. Great selection of beers and allround awesome vibe.
