::Highly disappointed at the way they treated Mum. She was given a $100 gift card as a present from this Coles in the form of a master card. She tried it at helensvale with lots of groceries to purchase with it and they said it wonât work as it was invalid. She later tried the card and another Coles and they had problems with it too and said to take it back to surfers renaissance as they didnât sell them or have seen them before . I went with Mum back to surfers renaissance Coles to explain the issue and the staff were not very helpful or friendly. In fact they were quite rude in the sense they didnât care or want to help. We showed the receipt of purchase from their store and they even asked us where it was bought. They then said they didnât know how it worked and said the card was invalid, they wouldnât swap it or issue a refund and gave us a customer care number to ring. After ringing and being on the phone for over half an hour, they said they will pass Mum on to another member on the phone who could help. After we were transferred, we could not hear properly what they were saying, and she found it difficult understand with their accent, and I even tried to listen to the call to hear what she was saying over the phone and had difficulties understanding, but she said they canât do anything and that Coles should issue a refund. We returned to Coles and they said that they canât do the refund. Mum then asked for the manager and then a staff member said âSorry I canât help you Iâm leaving.â This is very unprofessional. Mum felt very distressed at the way she was treated. Mum was very stressed and shaking on the phone and Coles staff made it even more stressful for here and the way they spoke and treated her. Mum already has significant health issues, including multiple mini strokes, severe hypertension and high cardiovascular risks and she came back from them very distressed. Coles then made her wait another half an hour which then caused her to have to pay for parking which would have been free as we didnât think it would take this long to sort the issue. Thankfully another staff member managed to get the card to work, but it was used on $14 toilet rolls to test it which wasnât needed as a purchase. She was just told âsorryâ and then that was it. The whole time Mum was pleasant to the staff and didnât get mad or annoyed and kept it in however they made her feel very stressed. Do not buy these gift cards from here. Not only do they charge $105 for $100 gift card, itâs $4 per call to check your balance and the Coles staff were not helpful or friendly at all.

::Veggies are usually old, you wouldn't buy them. I always find the green veggies to be poor quality and past their best, in fact I would never rely on them to be any good at all! I think Curtis Stone is pulling my leg! Not the place to try and do a weeks shop unless you wish to self serve yourself at the checkout. Very few tills are ever open and you will find yourself queueing for ages. What, with the rude staff, poor green grocery and lack of check out staff, not a good shopping experience.

::This Coles is extremely nice if you are renting an apartment at Chevron Renaissance, especially tower 2 (skyline north), as you can easily go downstairs and get any groceries you need!!! This branch of Coles is extremely nice and clean, with a huge variety of products.
