::I had a terrible experience with this consulate, they have been on strike for several weeks and this affects people who are applying for visas. I ended up with applying for visa from another consulate....long story...

::the only people give the Consult 5 stars either work there or are their friends - all the other Reviews are from real people. A totally bad service from people who don,t care at all !!!

::Worst service ever!!! Calling them in useless. After 6 minutes listening to the same message in spanish and in english they just hang up the phone. I guess giving you the option of listening in one language or the other is to complicated (I can't imagine how the Melbourne consulate did it)so we all have to listen to the message twice, and still you get nowhere with that, I tried to get an appointment by email and am still waiting the answer after a month. I went in person to get a certificate that I can only get in the consulate and the guy in the window (Marcos, I think I overheard someone calling him) didn't understand what I needed so I(that don't work in a consulate) had to explain to him(that works in a consulate) what the paper was asking for. Still I think it was too complicated for him and didn't get what I needed so I left empty handed thinking to myself that maybe they can't help, but I had to go back because I need that paper to go back to Spain. The week after I went back to get the same paper or see if someone knew what I was talking about a lady there told me that "yes" that is a certificate that ONLY they give out (why did the firt guy didn't know what I was talking about?)but they couldn't at that time because they were on a strike, so she said to come back ANY other day. But I guess she forgot to tell me they were on a strike for the whole week, because I went back 2 days later and the same thing happened. They we on a strike. So basically I was misinformed by the first guy (very unprofessional so am just guessing the guy got the job by being someones cousin probably) and then misinformed by the second lady. So am really really very disappointed with the horrible service giving there. They should learn a bit from the consulate in Melbourne, at least they do their service and am sure they are not getting paid much more that the Sydney one. So if they are striking because of their wages I really hope they do not give them anymore money until they fix all the problems they have the lazy bas...rds.

::Something must have changed because they have attended me very well the last couple of times. They attend in English and Spanish and the process was smooth. Just don't forget to send an email to make an appointment.
