::Had a very interesting experience at the Crown Metropol. Having next stayed at a Crown hotel from the outside they seem very luxurious and a cut above the rest. I settled into my room well, until my neighbours had arrived. Though I only needed one room there was an interconnecting door. Family were either yelling, or door was not thick enough to cut out the noise of their conversation. Being on a business trip I did not want the same problem to exist at night time, so I called front desk to ask to change rooms, I was told there was ONE more room available I could go to. I accepted the other room thinking any option could be better, was moved to another room that was even noisier near the opening to the restaurants, children screaming, dishes being washed- you could hear it all . The original person I spoke to about moving rooms must not have understood what I was saying. I called again to move rooms and was settled into a much more secluded room. Which I appreciated from the Crown. The whole process took about 2 hours out of my stay to adjust rooms 3 times and we asked for a late check out of 2pm. I went to the hotel to get my key updated to 2pm checkout and I encountered the same person who originally checked me in -Emily Dempsey. She was so understanding and adjusted our check out time to 3pm and removed the fee for the inconvenience of changing rooms. She was the most switched on staff member who actually took time to listen to what I was saying and used initiative to resolve our dissatisfaction with Crown. The process of changing rooms was also a bit impersonal. The supervisor did not come and apologise in person or give us our key cards, but a porter who did not know anything about our situation. They were just told to deliver new cards to our room. This could save us a bit more time if the manager was the one to go to the room and resolve the issue in person to ensure the customer is satisfied.

::4th stay at Crown Metropol, and it would have to be the most dissapointing one yet. First room was full of carpet strains - yuck, but staff were friendly and changed rooms once notified. Rooms overlooking the pools are the best, but all rooms are spacious, well decorated, and offer plenty of power points. Better than average Pay TV selection, but no Fox Sports 7.

::Luxurious hotel with all the amenities, as well as a great selection of world class restaurants in the complex. Everything is top tier. Well, almost top tier. Pretty much every aspect of the hotel experience has an option to spend more money: the wifi sucks unless you pay, the pool is great but pay to book a day bed, there's even an extra pool if you want to pony up the cash. Crown is great but be prepared to have a constant voice in your ear encouraging you to spend more.

::Was lucky to receive an upgrade to a spa room with views of the arena and pool areas. Very clean, diet and serviced. Liked the sliding privacy screen for the bathroom. Didn't like lack of temperature control in the room, it was set quite low and felt too cold. Fortunately the fluffy bathrobes were cosy and warm. Everything was on the mark except no shower cap provided with the bathroom accessories.
