::Old, run down, understaffed and expensive. Seats are ripped and broken. Sound quality poor

::Good cinema with comfort seats. The hygienic can be an issue as it's a busy cinema and you see cabbage every now and then. Movie tickets are expensive as always I guess that won't change lol. Overall I rate this cinema 4/5๐.

::We have been to Event cinemas multiple times, not because we particularly enjoy the experience we have there but because its convenient and the choice of movie times seems to suit us. The bathrooms have always been dirty and the service nothing to write home about. So we stopped going. This week we thought we'd try the gold class experience, surely it would be better. I actually think it was worse. We went early as the tickets suggested to enjoy a pre movie drink in the bar, the staff were so uninterested it was down right rude. It gave the impression that nobody went to work to actually do any work that night. Half the drinks on the menu were unavailable and no apology or substitute was offered. The bathrooms were filthy!!! I know for sure I will definitely not be returning to George St event cinemas, no matter how convenient the show times may be.

::Love/hate relationship really. I love that this cinema is just a few minutes walk from Town Hall station and is surrounded by a ton of restaurants, so you can get something to eat before or after. The screen sizes in some of the theatres are great aaaaaand.. Thatโs pretty much where the good ends.. The bathrooms here are vile, they smell super strongly of urine, there was even used feminine hygiene products on the floor.. (Gross!) Some of the seats are ripped, others covered in crumbs and have the scent of wet dog.. And as for customer service, depends whoโs working, generally you get arrogant teenagers that are more interested in their phones than actually answering your questions. Opt to print your own ticket at the box office if you buy online, machines donโt give you attitude.
