::Very friendly and helpful staff. Meal was very enjoyable. Loved the purple potatoes. I was a bit surprised at the $10 charge for a 375ml can of Cider which I thought was a bit of a ripoff

::Took the family out for dinner and Garrison has changed. The menu is more tapas style/share based with a few options for mains. Garrison used to be more formal and elegant place for dining. The recent changes have made like many of the other high end pub food places around Albany. The quality of the food has suffered a bit as well. While it was good, it was not on the caliber of our previous visits and it was on par at best with the other high end pubs. However, the total prices remain high, so quality for price is not there. Service was very good and the views over the water are great as well, but we all liked having the more formal atmosphere and menu. Unfortunately, after a number of previous good visits we will not go back for the current style of food experience.

::Our favourite cafe in Albany. Food is always spot on and well presented. Good choice on menu. Best chunky chips. Service friendly but sometimes lacking complete efficiency. Still worth going though.

::Just had a late lunch of fish and chips with my husband after a very moving morning visiting the National ANZAC centre. Everything about the centre was first class. I thought it was a joke when our meal arrived. The fish was smaller than a child's portion. I had precisely 4 mouthfuls. Lots of chunky chips and an even bigger helping of salad! The lemon wedge was half the size of my fish. I would have said something to the member of staff but she didn't come over and ask if everything was ok with our meal. As we left the staff were talking and didn't say thank you or goodbye. Feeling very disappointed. Even more annoyed now as I've just looked at their website photo's and we should have had two pieces of fish! This is what fish and chips looks like Garrison and cost $12.50. It was delicious and the service was excellent.

::We went up for lunch as a group of 5 and were served promptly by a really great waitress. Soon our drinks arrived and our meals not long after. All 5 meals were absolutely lovely and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. We all particularly liked the beautiful selection of glassware and cutlery, both which were classy. Gorgeous views, great food and atmosphere so I'll be visiting more often for sure!
