  Tolles Hotel. Sauber, modern und schön eingerichtet. Auf dem Dach befindet sich ein Fitnessstudio, ein Pool und mehrere Liegen. Von unserem Fenster aus hatten wir auch eine tolle Aussicht auf South Bank Parklands. Die Stadtmitte ist super zu Fuß erreichbar. In der Nähe des Hotels befindet sich aber auch eine S-Bahn Haltestelle.

  From the outside the building suggests that the hotel within is going to be a bit shabby. However, stepping into the hotel is a whole different - and unexpected experience! Four of us from work stayed at the hotel at the same time. For three of us it was our first visit. We all couldn't believe how big the bedrooms were - and all of our rooms appeared to have been renovated recently. If you're planning on getting dirty with a rugby team, the bathrooms appear to be of a size that will cope admirably! 😄 The restaurants was functional, offered tasty food, which was served by pleasant and professional wait staff. An enjoyable stay!

  There are certain things could happen at a hotel that are critical stages in customer service. For me, recovery of an item left behind in a hotel room is one of those. Unfortunately I left my $200 dollar electric toothbrush in the bathroom. When leaving I forgot to check every surface for anything I may have left behind. On realising I didn't have my toothbrush I contacted the hotel by phone and then went out of my way to go in person. I was confident that the cleaners, in a 4-star hotel, would have a reliable lost and found system. To my dismay, the Hotel Grand Chancellor staff knew nothing of my rather expensive toothbrush... Did they simply throw it away? Is this standard practice for their hotel? When people check out, do they not care anymore and throw it away or appropriate items for themselves? Despite the room being nicely furnished, it was the grossly lacking support after staying there that I found horrendously disappointing. I give One star as 0 isn't possible -as stated, I consider a reliable lost and found system to be critical as it is inevitable that we, people in general, will leave something behind at some stage and would prefer it not go astray.
