  Very good for just about anything. Only drawback (not unique to Tamworth) is putting the registers in the middle, and having to be bag-checked as you leave. Can't wait till they change it back, as will inevitably happen.

  Ok. With country music crowd starting to roll in etc, K mart had one checkout operating, and one person directing the cue through the self serves. What a joke!!!

  Ridiculous store layout. I don't mind self checkouts, but putting the only check outs in the middle of the store is dead set ridiculousness, at the expense of the customer. After paying for two items I was in the middle of a conservation as I was exiting the store. The woman at the front interrupted and insisted on seeing my receipt. When I pointed out the stupidity of putting the check outs in the middle of the store and then inconveniencing every single customer to check their receipt, she backed away from me and immediately called a manager. From there I had to stand around awaiting the arrival of a manager, who upon turning up, walked up to me and said "yeah you're fine". What a joke. Since then I actively avoid shopping at Kmart as I refuse to reward ridiculousness that inconveniences the customer.
