::Some good walks up the Adelaide foothills start here left of the entrance and up the concrete access road. It has good views and lots of green grass so it is always looking nice too. Seen a Koala here as well in the young trees around the carpark.

::The McElligott's Quarry Reserve is pretty basic, it has a large expanse of lawn, a gazebo and a simple but safe playground. The information boards about the rock formations in the quarry are interesting, but the walking trails from this reserve down to the nearby Brownhill Creek Caravan Park or to the top of Brownhill need some attention and better sign posting.
