  Best food in Albany. Well balanced & perfectly cooked. Great service as well. This is a hidden gem in the crown jewels of Albany. Well done to chef & owner Peter.

  **Kids under 10 eat free** (with accompanying adults) We go back for the $25 pie + pint, WIDE variety on the kids menu (that are actually awesome tasting esp the pizza and pork sausage), YUMMY burgers and appealing cocktails. Some of the other menu items are a bit more pricey, but there's definitely something for everyone. Located on the main street of Albany and open on public holidays when most other restaurants in Albany aren't. A MUST- DO each time we visit Albany. **highly recommend

  Outstanding attentive service even on busy nights. The first time I went about 4 months ago, I didn't think the food could get any better, as it was so delicious. Third visit just recently, the chef somehow had worked more of his magic and created yet again a scrumptious dinner to die for. Albany has some really nice places to eat, however Mean Fiddler has now become my No. 1 place to go.

  My friend and I were looking for a nice restaurant which offered something suitable for vegans. The very friendly chef Pete came and had a chat to us about the options. We gave it a go and were not disappointed. We were served one of the best meals either of us have eaten. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were so impressed, we returned the following evening. In hindsight we should have pre-booked so Pete had time to think about what he could serve us. However, once again, we were not disappointed. Our meal was delightful. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
