::We went to this tavern to eat and had a nice meal. We came back to have a meal another time and got asked for I.D., we are both 21 years old, one of us had I.D and the other didn’t we were turned away. If they had asked for I.D consistently we would have made sure we brought our I.D. We enjoyed this establishment and were planning to come back regularly but we were turned away quite rudely and then spoken to with a lot of disrespect when we rang up to ask why we weren’t asked the first time. We will not be coming back as they were not able to deal with this incident in a professional/friendly manner and were not apologetic in the slightest. Not sure what the laws are in this scenario if they were just following them then I respect that but being turned away from an establishment is an embarrassing situation already and should be dealt with with care and cordiality. I would not recommend going to this establishment as they do not have benevolence toward their customers. Reply to comment from owner: whoever was on the phone was not friendly at all so I can understand why the man who called would not be that eager to stay in the conversation. It was never said that you had the responsibility to make sure we bring our license but it is your responsibility to ask every time if you are going to ask (I did not suddenly get younger overnight). We had our ID on us the first time and would have brought it the second time if we’d been asked. Thanks for your time, au revoir, although I hope this is goodbye forever.
