  Although we didnt end up building with Oakford, we had a brilliant experience with them in the designing and quoting of our new home. Kimberly (their consultant) went over and above in her efforts to make sure we were happy and looked after. At every step, she checked in and talked to us about what we wanted and how. We asked for many design revisions and nothing was too much trouble. Their quote was very reasonable compared to others and included a higher specification than most homes of the same price. We talked directly to several people who had built their homes with Oakford and without exception they were very positive about the whole process, and so we were very close to signing a contract. Unfortunately at the last minute we were unable to start the process of building and had to sell our land due to some family health issues. Oakford were very kind and generous to us about this unexpected turn of events and we were extremely grateful. If we ever build again, we will go directly to Oakford.

  The process was great, until you get in to contract. Then there's all the time stuff they never told you. Thousands of dollars later, over budget, over schedule and no communication except for bills sent to me. I can only hope I get a house out of it that I could live in at some point. In the mean time I have to find accommodation for my family because they are four months behind, at least!
