  Rooms were basic, bed, ceiling fan, no TV or bar fridge for keeping items cold. public showers/bathroon, parking was on the street, Renervations were being done around accommodation area. Bistro had a selection of dishes, games area, bar, tab, keno area. Not bad for a overnight stop.

  Motel Review. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and very basic. Bed, fridge, chair, side table, fan and hanging rack. No ensuite, no TV, no phone, no A/C, but it is very cheap. If you are travelling on self funded business and want cheap, this is it. On the plus side, there is very good free wifi. The shared bathrooms are clean, old style (not renovated - pink) but not crowded. I was the only person in there every time I used them. In my experience, staying in a room in a pub can be very noisy, but not here. The motel rooms are along side, not above the pub. This makes them virtually pub noise free. There is a dining room down stairs but I didn't try it. It's a short walk to a good Thai and a Chinese/Viet takeaway. And in the other direction and closer a couple of very good early opening breakfast spots. Only gripe - it advertised off street parking but there is none. However street parking seems OK.

  They used to have the best laksa in town. But in January they renovated, and got rid of the friendly Malaysian food chefs. Now they do ordinary pub food for an extraordinarily high price. They charge $20 for a burger but don't even have the decency to serve it to you on a ceramic plate. They serve salt with a sprinkling of potato chips. I chose one of the few burgers on the menu which wasn't explicitly marked as spicy. It was spicy. So I spent $20 on something that came in a plastic tray, and didn't even taste good. I hope they realise their mistake and bring back the Malaysian menu. Every item on that was fantastic, and 2/3 of the price. Nice decor though.

  The new food at the bistro by Chicken & Sons is THE JAM. The Royale with Cheese is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Good music and decent beers on tap makes this place my go to.

  Lots of beers on tap and they're bottle shop has good prices. Friendly staff and helpful to if you're new to the area.They are doing maintenance on the dining area at present. I've got to give them 5 Stars
