::My partner and I have been here twice now. The first time was when it had just opened and we both said that we hope it does well because the food and service was great. We went again last night, and not as a surprise both the food and service was still amazing. I did take a photo of the food, but decided not to post it here only because it has been half eaten...it smelt so amazing when it arrived at the table we just couldn't hold off. I would say it was a somewhat busy night for them, as there was only one main waitress running around. She was fantastic- fast, polite, helpful and super down to earth. Going out to an American BBQ place for dinner isn't something we crave most nights- but because of the service and food quality we will frequent here often. Good food at a good price. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you!!

::We just rocked up at 6.00pm on a Saturday night and got squeezed in. The owner was genuinely friendly and all the staff were terrific. We shared Frickles (deep fried, battered dill pickles) for entree. which were superb. I had Brisket for main with the Mac and cheese and a bean salad for sides. And the highlight for me was the Key lime pie for desert. I think everything was superb and of extremely high quality. We will certainly be back and next time we will bring more people with us, as I think the atmosphere lends itself to larger groups.

::Had a delicious lunch time burger, the pulled pork and beef brisket were full of flavour and moisture. Loved the real American vibe and the smell of woodsmoke throughout the venue. Great service and very friendly, welcoming staff. Highly recommend for a good quality, filling, and good value meal, in a relaxed environment.

::Friends booked in a really big table here on Saturday night for 2 birthdays and I have nothing but praise for the staff and owners! They were so accommodating and very friendly. The owner kept coming over to apologise for the wait on food (which we were prepared for because there was nearly 20 of us and they were also busy in general). He kept checking everything was all good and he was just very genuine in trying to give us the best experience he could. The food at this joint was exceptional. The meats, the sauces, the sides, the choice of beer!!! I'm honestly not sure I could fault it. The pulled pork was actually the best meat I've ever eaten! And they were even lovely enough to give the 2 birthday boys free pie! Thank you Original Dave's for delicious food and a great service! We will be back for sure! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend

::The staff are so friendly and the beer list is great! The menu has a good range of options and the portion sizes are good value. Unfortunately, the food lacks the flavour punch that you want with Southern BBQ. The meat wasn't dressed, the sides were under seasoned. This is a solid venue for a meal, but it could be so much better. A missed opportunity for amazing meat and flavour.
