  Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish Coorparoo is a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive Catholic community. Located beside our Lady of Mt Carmel Primary School and close to The Village, Coorparoo, it attracts parishioners from all stages of life. Every year it Is not uncommon for those seeking to follow Christ to join the Mt Carmel RCIA program. A distinguishing feature of the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parish is the high level of parish involvement, as evidenced by the large number of parish ministries. Newsletter editorials, prepared by a parish team, are insightful, reflective, and enjoyable to read. The homilies presented by the Parish Priest, Fr Wayne Stanhope, are very engaging; relevant to everyday life whilst bringing scripture alive.
