::As a GC local I have visited Pure Indulgence Pacific Fair several times over the years. Today I chose this salon because I again wanted a quality experience that provides me with some special me time. I was given a gift voucher by friends to go towards a treatment. I selected the 'Signature Facial' as I wanted the experience described in the brochure! Unfortunately this was not the case, I was bombarded with product advice even after saying I have several Yuva products that were purchased recently (but apparently they weren't enough) I was then railroaded into "upgrades" I didn't seek and was told they were needed for my skin and would be about $15 extra but was asked for $40 more on top of the $130 at the counter. The brochure says a muscle melting hot stone back massage!!! While I received a very brief massage it was sadly lacking. At the end of my treatment the product purchase PUSH continued including buying 3 treatment package. I am so upset and disappointed that my therapist didn't take the time to listen that my intent today was not concerns about my skin but a chance for some luxury and R & R. I also expressed my concerns to the therapist taking my money, who took 1 of the 2 unwanted upgrades off and a voucher for a future visit with a quick sorry thrown in. I know product sales and up-selling are important to any business but surely NOT at a client's expense. :(
