  Have stayed here several times with my partner and we always have a great time. Clean and tidy rooms are always pleasant with extra pillows, good air conditioning, complimentary tea/coffee/toiletries and your choice of city or garden view. Meals are always delicious, staff very helpful and friendly, and room service usually gives us a laugh :) This visit we mentioned it was for my partner's birthday (when asked if there was a special occasion) and they responded with complimentary dessert for her from the a la carte menu! We usually have such a great we find it hard to get up in the morning - except their hot and cold buffet breakfast is too good to miss. Will definitely be back, thankyou Royal on the Park

  Staying here during Commonwealth Games. Very much the tired hotel. In need of a revamp. Only one lift working and we were on top floor! Very slow. Staff very friendly and overall comfortable stay but the breakfast was poor and poor value. The espresso option didn't work. Food on he buffet was slow to be replenished and when I asked for the scrambled eggto be topped up it was stone cold when it came out Have seen more and better choices

  Can never say perfect but our visit for a one-night stay was great. Across from the botanic gardens was a nice ambience to enter. Our room was very comfortable and ammenities were just what we needed. Outside bar beside the pool gave a nice escape in the heat.

  Only went for dinner at the Walnut downstairs, but it was a very enjoyable meal. Entree was tasty, had the salt and pepper calamari which was nice and crunchy but a little oversalted. The mains definitely made up for the average entree - had the salmon and the ravioli both of which were exceptional. The salmon was so very well balanced with all the elements on the plate. Was really a delight from beginning to end. The mushroom ravioli was divine and probably the best mushroom based pasta dish I've ever had. Dessert was good but nothing to rave about. Wine selection is very good. Service was top notch. Ambiance was pretty good considering its the main restaurant for a hotel. Would recommend

  Really great stay. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are nice (not the newest hotel, but clean and very well maintained). Pretty great pool and a spa outside. Only lost a star for the limited under cover parking available. That being said, one of the cheapest daily parking rates in the city.
