  Good tram stop to get me to southern cross station

  Very modern metropolitan and country link train station Large station, easily identified by its wavy roof that spans teh whole complex over a full city block. One of the key metro station so you can connect to any metropolitan service from here. Its also the terminus for many country trains and also a bus terminal. The direct bus service to Melbourne Airport also leaves from this station. You can get to the station from quite a few tram routes that run along its borders. Lots of eateries, information desk, Myli card machines (metro transport cards) and in the same complex there are supermarkets, pharmacies, asian foods market, fast foods and coffee shops. There are many platforms for metro trains so check on the large screens at the top of the concourse to see which one is yours. Entry to (and exit from) the metro platform areas is by Myki card so make sure you have one (or buy one at the station). Station is quite well patronised even in evening and is quite safe. Transit police are always onsite as well, Easy to navigate, great disabled access and fully under cover from weather
