  I visited with my wife this time : P. I like spotlight, even as a bloke its a good place to go and buy linens, towels etc. I usually wait and buy everything at once which is pretty pricey but Spotlight have reasonable specials and a large range to choose from. I was mildly surprised this time, between my wife and I we only spent $500. Staff are always happy to help a single man find stuff that is not too girly, don't forget to check the clearance bins

  Good middle of the road fabric store plus more. Fabrics are not top notch, nevertheless affordable, and plenty of it. Big store, with weekly specials through the year, make time to browse. Have noticed their customer service has improved over the years, however their employee with the 90s haircut-appalling customer service, oh well, one needs to be kind, they are on pity wages. If you are needing advice on fabrics and the like, best to do your homework before visiting store, unless you get the older dark haired woman, she is the only one it seems in the loop.

  Love the new Spotlight store on Portrush Road. Amazing variety of stock. We desperately needed it in the eastern suburbs.

  They have the largest selection of usable fabric I have come across. The younger staff on during the week are friendly and helpful and are genuinely interested in your project. They are very patient helping people convert imperial to metric and they take the time to cut the fabric right side up to check for faults. It's a shame the laces, trims and border tapes section is smaller since they moved here from CBD.
