  I don't usually Post a review that's less than very positive unless of course it's warranted but I have to save this place seems to be the most difficult church to work at. I understand it is a cathedral and there are religious ideology and rules that have to be respected that goes without saying however the people that look after the cathedral I quite annoying at times. When I attend this Cathedral working as a photographer I'm often faced with many objections to what can be covered and where I can stand it almost seems as though they just want to be difficult for the sake of it. Even shooting on the front steps of the cathedral is often met by a security guard that tells you you have to move on and will stand in the shot until you leave. Extremely rude and such a shame they have such a poor attitude for probably the highest profile Cathedral in the country.

  St Mary's Cathedral is located near Hyde Park. There is a small fountain in front of it. You will never miss the cathedral! The building is authentic and beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to visit the interior part of the cathedral due to time constraint but I will definitely visit it again if I have the chance in the future!

  2012年に訪問したのですが、中を拝見しようとしたら関係者の方に断られました。中では特にお祈りの時間ではなく、観光客もいるのにです。こちらは数名でのツアーの、全員50代以上のグループです。しかも英語ができるツアーコンダクターが同行していました。ツアーコンダクターさんの話では「騒がしいので迷惑」とのこと。暗に東アジアからの観光客に対する拒絶反応が感じられたとのことです。たまたま不運な目に合っただけなので気にしていませんが、教会や寺院の見学ではくれぐれも迷惑な行動は慎むようにしてください。迷惑をかけない人にまでとばっちりが行きます。私は教会や寺院の見学では、祭壇にカメラを向けるのだけは控えるようにしています。

  Outside the cathedral you can hear many cars and people chatting but once you step into this place, it's a different story. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Don't miss the lights of Christmas during Christmas time. Not much crowded on a Sunday night. A must see place.
