  The State Library of Western Australia is housed in the Alexander Library Building in the Cultural Center of Perth. The building has a contemporary design, and the interior is superb. Free high-speed wifi inside the library. From James or Francis Streets there's  wheelchair access to the building. The Library has lifts to every floor, and wheelchair accessible toilets. Male and female toilets on the ground, the first, the second and the third floors. On the ground floor there's a room for parents with babies equipped with a place for nursing mothers and change table. Families and children can visit The Place to relax, share a story or use the computer. And, if you want to sit and chat with friends, the Discovery Lounge is the place to be. ACROD and general car parking is available within the Perth Cultural Center. There are bicycle racks at the front of the building.

  Sehr angenehm im Inneren, von aussen eher ein Klotz, mein absoluter Lieblingsplatz zum Schreiben und Arbeiten. Aber ja nichts zum Essen oder Trinken mitbringen, auch wenn man es nicht anrührt...man muss es wegwerfen. Wasserspender in jedem Stockwerk. Etwas nervig, die vielen Jugendlichen, die die Bibliothek als Treffpunkt zum Quatschen, manchmal aber auch zum Arbeiten, nutzen, aber Ohrstöpsel helfen, bis sie alle nach Hause müssen. Tolle Skyline!

  Have been in to access stored journals and pictures - staff were very helpful and accommodating. Easy process to register and start viewing information. Very nice environment and space to study.

  The State Library of WA is positioned perfectly in James Street Mall..... With a brilliant cafe overlooking the beautiful water display at the side of the building, in case you need a break.... Free Wifi also in this area..... There are toilet facilities, wheelchair accessible .... The friendly staff are always eager to help you & your experience.... You must also be a member if you want to rent a book or a game console, that goes without saying, just be sure to have your driver's licence or passport ready....!!!
