::If I could go to another bank, I would (unfortunately, I have a linked account). Let me clarify, I use the branch in Canelands mall and the lines for inquiries versus regular banking are long every time I enter. I can live with the wait but it is a bit time consuming! A few times I have tried to use Suncorp's ATMs and they are either: 1) out of order (the particular ATM I use was out of order consistently & I'm charged for in-person withdrawals...so no cash for a week!) or 2) on one occasion it would not disperse $20 even though my account had plenty of funds. Pain in my butt! But the best example of their horrible service was when I tried to get a credit card.... I was in a few days earlier starting up my checking account. I inquired then about getting a credit card because I was not an Australian resident. Later, I decided to follow through & stopped back at 10am to apply. Only one of the two customer service representatives could do it & she was with a customer, so I was told I needed an appointment. I was told to come back at 10:30am. So I obliged & did my grocery shopping. I returned at 10:30am and sat with my groceries thawing until 10:40. I asked the manager "What is the purpose of an appointment if it's not going to be upheld?" She responded that they try to work in the walk-in customers. I informed her that I WAS a walk-in customer earlier in the morning & was turned away.....so why was the ONE lady I needed still helping walk-in customers at my appointment time? The manager brushed me off & tried to pass me onto the other customer service representative. I said "She already told me she was unauthorized to do credit card applications". Sure enough, the lady confirmed my story to the manager & I sat and waited AGAIN. You would expect the manager to have an idea of employee's capabilities! Suncorp's ATMs malfunction more than any bank I've been with & their customer service is awful. If those are two qualities you really need in a bank I would look elsewhere!
